I met Sandra and Mark a little over one year ago; they found me through the internet by looking for a Toronto wedding photographer for their then upcoming wedding in summer 2012. I was very excited to meet them and learned that both Sandra & Mark are really fun and outgoing couple! I could tell that from the very first meeting, their wedding would be as enjoyable as the engagement session that we did in Toronto`s Harbourfront, last Spring.
On the day of the wedding, we started taking the "getting ready" portraits at both bride’s and groom’s house. I like to photograph the bride before the ceremony, while she is finishing her make up, hair, getting into her dress, and of course all the lovely details: bouquet, shoes, jewelry, dress, etc. As soon as everything was ready (the boutonnieres and corsages were placed), we then proceded to take immediate family portraits.
At the groom’s house, Sebastien was covering Mark and his groomsmen getting ready as well as formal portraits with the family.
We then headed to the ceremony, which was held at Morningstar Christian Fellowship Church, located in Scarborough. The service was filled with merry singing, the gathering of many friends and family, and an unforgettable moment in Sandra & Mark’s life – becoming husband & wife!
From the church we drove to Edward Gardens, which is perfectly located near the hall. This was the second time in row photographing at the Edward Gardens this past June. I found an amazing spot were no other wedding groups usually go, since you have to walk all the way down to the river and cross, and then walk on the rocks. However, Sandra & Mark were up for anything! I am so glad we did our pictures there that day, since even the waterfall (which is usually only seen from the bridge), was at a level that made a perfect backdrop for our pictures.
The evening part of the wedding celebration of Sandra and Mark took place at the Spirale Banquet & Conference Centre. In the past few years, I have photographed a few weddings there and always find the atmosphere is exceptional and exclusive for accommodating the needs of both bride and groom. As the wedding photographer I enjoy photographing wedding receptions, especially when all the guests along with the bride and groom are having a good time. I knew that the party would be great, and I was impressed by the energy of all generations dancing continuously!
Congratulations Sandra & Mark!!!
