I am very excited to share with you another beautiful wedding that I photographed this summer.
Olya and John’s story started with a chess tournament. While working for the same company, Olya organized the event where she won every single game, as well as the heart of John, who was among the participants 🙂 He was successful in getting Olya’s attention and asked her out. After subsequent romantic dates, here we came to celebrate Olya and John’s BIG DAY.
We started the day by photographing Olya and John getting ready. We decided to do all the photos before the ceremony at John’s parents house, where they had a first look, followed by family and wedding party shoots. What a beautiful backyard John’s parents have, large pool, lots of trees and of course our favorite shade house!
The ceremony took place at the stunning St Clement’s Church, founded in 1891. I was amazed by its multiple stained glass windows and its size. The balcony gave us a great opportunity to capture some of the important moments as well as provided a greater view of the entire space.
Olya and John put a lot of attention to the details. The theme of their wedding was chess; I especially liked the favors, chocolate chess pieces, as well as the cake decorated with a king and a queen piece as the toppers! White floral décor was absolutely gorgeous: it graciously complemented the candle lit room, and gave the room a very romantic feel.
It was a perfect day; the weather was great, all the locations were close by, which provided an amazing setting to photograph the fun and energetic group that Olya and John are surrounded by! Thank you Olya and John, Sebastien and me had a fantastic time working with you on your BIG DAY!
