This is a continuation of my previous blog post: Toronto Maternity & Family Photographer | Waiting for Baby Caleb.
Introducing to you Baby Caleb; congratulations on the arrival of your baby! I am so happy for you – Osi, Juan & Ysabel!
I was really impressed by Osi’s preparation and dedication for this session. She had custom-ordered and made a considerable variety of items for Caleb, to be used exclusively for this newborn session: the knitted turtle outfit, a sock-monkey hat and toy, a hand-made blanket, and a newborn cute little hat with ears. It is great when parents have the initiative of bringing unique elements for their sessions, since it definitely adds a greater sense of personalization. My personal favorite was the matching sock-monkey hat, along with Caleb’s sock-monkey toy. The baby-blue backdrop worked really nicely in that composition, and for the portraits with his parents. Ysabel was participative during the session, and very excited about her baby brother. She was very cooperative when taking the pictures! As a good sister, she was very willing to help when we were changing the outfits for her sibling, stayed busy keeping Caleb entertained, and playing with him as well. The two of them looked wonderful together! For another set-up, we used a yellow background, with another custom-made blanket. By the time we did this set Caleb was getting back to sleep, see the yawning photo 🙂 The last solo close-up was in the green turtle outfit that I mentioned previously, which we photographed when Caleb was fully asleep.
I would like thank Osi and Juan for their gracefully touching words, and I would like to express my immense gratitude for considering me a part of their family, and trusting me with the transcendent responsibility of capturing the beauty of their lives’ special moments!
