This past October I photograph an adorable little baby boy named Grayson, who was 7 days old at the time of this session. This is my third occasion photographing Tasha & Ryan in the past 4 years: first I captured their wedding in Guelph back in summer 2008, then studio baby portraits of their first child – Eliana, and now I got a chance to meet their son Grayson and do a newborn session with him and the whole family again. As a portrait photographer I feel very special, when I see my clients coming back to me to capture those important milestones in their lives, so they can cherish these moments forever.
Grayson was a perfect little model, he slept, giving me the opportunity to capture a few different portraits, and change props as well as stayed awake for some solo close-ups and family group photos. I remember last February, when I photographed Eliana, Grayson’s older sister, at age of three weeks, she was also very easy and fun model to work with. It was exciting to see her one and a half years later all grown up. This time I also had a chance to take a few pictures of her as well. I especially like the two matching owl hats that Grayson and Eliana had. When we asked Eliana to hold her little brother for some pictures, she was a little bit anxious, since he is only been around for seven days, and I think she still getting used to his presence. We still managed to capture various combinations of individual portraits. I like the photo of Ryan holding Grayson, laying on his arms.
Again, I want to thank Tasha & Ryan to trusting me as portrait photographer to capture these great moments in their lives!
