Toronto Newborn Baby Studio Photographer | Sweet Little Lara
March 27, 2012
I love photographing babies! Lara was 7 weeks at the time I met her; she was very cooperative, and she actually enjoyed being photographed 🙂 As a result, we have so many great photographs from this session.
Here is a little background story about how I know Lora`s parents – Nader & Mirela. Five years ago, I photographed their friend’s destination wedding in Portugal. It was a great week in a private Villa, under the southern European sun. As a group, we visited various beaches, and enjoyed the legendary Portuguese food and hospitality.
Last January, Mirela contacted me and I was glad to hear from them: I felt honored that they kept me in mind for their baby’s first studio photo session. After we arranged the time and place, we met once again, and it was great to see their growing family.
I was pleasantly surprised that Lara was awake for the entire session, and since Nader & Mirela knew me, they felt very comfortable with our working process. This is very important, since it allows us to express our creativity freely and be able to provide an original and personalized experience.
I believe that the best time to come for a newborn studio photo session is before the ninth day. The reason is that in this time frame, babies have a very specific look that will change quite fast.
However, if there are other factors that do now allow accommodating a photographic session in the schedule, it is best to come as soon as possible, in order to capture that look of the first weeks of your baby’s life. Since they grow so fast, these pictures are basically the only windows where you can peek back to this stage of their lives.
Here are the highlights of this sweet little Lara baby photography session.
